Part VI Writing (15 points)写作一 ----人际关系、家庭关系
Every one of us, rich or poor, should at least have one or two good friends. My friends will listen to me when I want to speak, will wipe my eyes when I cry, will take care of me when I am sick, and my friends will go together with me side by side through this journey of life.
As students, we could share more time with our friends. The friendship in our young hearts is pure, fresh and simple. I often feel very lucky to have a lot of good friends. Especially when I had Justin as one of my best friends .Justin was my English teacher from the USA.I met him in 1996 when I was a student who could only speak very little English. Justin was a vivid young man with a bright smile on his face, and he always had his special way to make the class active and attractive. He taught us English by telling stories, playing games, singing songs, and even dancing.
Friendship is a kind of treasure in our lives. It is actually like a bottle of wine, the longer it is kept, the sweeter it will be. It is also like a cup of tea. When we are thirsty, it will be our best choice, but when we have enough time to enjoy ourselves, it is also the most fragrant drink.
As we know, we would feel lonely if we didn't even have a friend. But it doesn't mean we could depend on our friends all the time. There is a famous motto saying that “A friend is like a quilt with cotton wadding, but the real thing that keeps you warm is your own temperature.”It is really true. We have to work hard together with our friends, encourage each other and help each other. When we receive love and friendship, we should repay as much as we can.
Finally, let’s pray together now that one day, all of us could find the person we want to find, and could enjoy a real beautiful friendship in our lives. Let’s pray the flower of friendship between our friends and us would always bloom brightly in our hearts
Many people are confronted with the great difficulties in getting along well with others. A multitude of reasons may account for this phenomenon as follows. Some people tend to be mentally weak. They are psychologically challenged, unwilling to communicate with others. Maybe, they have a kind of nightmarish experience of having been looked down upon by others in their childhood. Little by little, they end up locking themselves in their own world. For others, they are adversely affected the surroundings. It appears that people are more apt to become old and indifferent. When others need their help, they may shy away from them.
However, since we are social beings, the quality of our lives depends in large measure on our interpersonal relationships. One strength of the human condition is our tendency to give and receive support from one another under stressful circumstances.
To get well along with others and win their friendships, we must observe strictly the following words. To begin with, we need to be honest with others and should always say what we mean. Lies will surely make people stay far away from us in the long run. After all, honesty is the best policy. Second, we have to be humble enough. If we are proud in public, we can hardly win other's respect, not to mention "friendship". Finally, we must not be selfish. We should learn how to show concern for others.
No human is an island. It means that people have to deal with various kinds of personal relationships, including the relationship among family members, among colleagues, or friends. Therefore, the importance of establishing healthy relationships should be stressed.
It is essential that you should be on good terms with your family. Most of the time, you stay with your family. If you have a good relationship with your parents, spouses and children, you will be very happy. Research shows that happiness has a positive effect on your health. Meanwhile, you should also develop healthy relationships with others, such as your colleagues, neighbors and even strangers. This can also enhance your sense of happiness.
If you want your relationship to thrive, it is advisable that you should take into account the following ingredients. First, honesty is one of the most basic of all elements to any healthy relationship. A deep and loving honesty between two people says, “No matter what happens, you will always know the true me.” This feeling allows people to open up and be the best they can be with each other. Second, people need to learn how to talk through both easy and challenging issues. Disagreements are a part of every relationship. To get through them, people have to learn to respect their different ways of communicating. This means learning how to communicate love in a way that others hear and feel it.

Certificate Craze on Campus In recent years, to get a certificate has become a new craze among college students. Just randomly ask a student on campus what he or she is busy doing, quite possibly, you may get the answer that he or she is preparing for a certificate of some kind. Why does this craze appear? There are mainly two reasons behind this phenomenon. First, it is the employment pressure that forces college students to get more certificates. With the admission expansion of colleges, a lot more graduates have to face the fierce competition in the job market. How can one make himself more competitive? More certificates at hand, maybe. Second, diploma and certificates are still important standards by which many employers measure a person’s ability. In order to increase the qualifications for a job, the students compel themselves to run from one exam to another. From my point of view, we should be more rational when it comes to certificates, since certificates do not necessarily prove one’s ability. Being crazy in getting certificates blindly is nothing but wasting time. To conclude, we should focus on improving our ability but not getting a certificate of no practical value.
In the past few years, the number of senior citizens in China has been rising constantly, which has resulted in some social problems. This issue has aroused much concern in the society. In my opinions, the seniors in China should be taken care of by their families and the society.
To my best understanding, the following approaches can be figured out to address the problem. To begin with, the government is supposed to create more homes for the seniors. Better medical faculties are also needed for their health. Moreover, it is advisable that people with sufficient financial capability take care of their parents, as it is their obligation to repay the love from their parents during their growth. It is also a positive role model they can set for their own children. Last but not least, taking care o f the seniors does not mean financial support only. It also means caring about their feeling. People are advised to accompany their parents as much as possible.
We may safely draw the conclusion from the above discussion, that only by adopting these measures, can we resolve the problem effectively and efficiently.
Part VI Writing (15 points)写作三----生活态度
Failure is a common thing in our daily lives. If we don' t work hard and try our best, failure will happen. Sometimes, even when we have already worked hard and made great efforts, we just cannot get rid of failure. We can say that every one has experienced failure,, which is just in-evitable.
Attitudes towards failure differ from one to another. Some people hate failure and lose heart when they fail, as if it were the end of the world and they had no other way out. Others believe that failure is as instructive and inspiring as success. If they don' t give up and learn something from the past failure, they will make it in the end.
In my point of view, failure, just as success, is part of our life. It is true that we work hard in order to achieve success, but we should also have the capacity to learn to live with failures.
We must recognize that failure is not that bad as we thought. Just as the old saying runs, "Failure is the mother of success. " Failure will lead us to success in the end.

Nowadays, web-shopping plays a more and more important role in our daily life. With less money, we can buy a lot of goods of high quality through internet without the trouble of going to the stores ourselves. Therefore, it is safe to say that web-shopping is quite convenient.
Despite its advantages, web-shopping also has many disadvantages. For people who like buying staff through internet, sometimes web-shopping is a bait to lead them to a cheating trap.
The web-sellers may receive their money but do not send back the products. It also happens that people may receive defect goods.
As new science and high-tech develops, web-shopping will become a dominant way of buy-ing goods provided that it is properly managed and controlled. Web-shopping will achieve great prosperity because it is beneficial for both the web-sellers and the consumers.
With the development of economy, people’s living standard has been enormously improved. Accordingly, supermarkets and department stores are springing up like mushrooms. Every day, especially at weekends, crowds of shoppers flock there and smilingly come out with rich harvests.
Both supermarkets and department stores have their own strengths and weaknesses. For example, it is always very convenient for you to buy daily necessities in supermarkets whereas you may find it hard to buy sophisticated and major items, such as refrigerators, air-conditioners and computers. In contrast, department stores are filled with top-quality items and famous brands of clothes or shoes while daily necessities are extremely expensive there.
When it comes to me, I do a lot of shopping in the supermarket for following reasons. Firstly, it is very convenient to do shopping there. What you need do is walk your handcart along the aisles and take anything you need from the shelve8 to fill your cart. Secondly, the market provides a bumper variety of goods. Food, clothes, daily articles and drinks are within your arm's reach. Thirdly, the environment is clean and comfortable with all-year-round ventilation and air-condition. Fourthly, payment is made easily, either in cash or with a card. And you don't have to wait long. Fifthly, often, small gifts like soft toys, beauty-parlour coupons and instant lucky draws are offered to customers.
The Internet has dramatically altered our lives over the past few decades. Although some of these changes have been negative, the overall effect of this technology has been positive. What are your opinions on this?
The Internet has brought significant changes to our lives in recent years. However, there remains some disagreement as to whether the overall effect of this technology has been positive or negative. While there are certainly valid arguments to the contrary, I personally believe that the benefits of the Internet far outweigh its drawbacks and these benefits are twofold.
First of all, it is an indisputable fact that the Internet has revolutionized the way we communicate. Despite the risk of social isolation-a problem occasionally seen in people who spend too much time at their computer terminal rather than relating to people in the real world-most of us have benefited greatly from e-mails and Internet chat programs like MSN Messenger. These incredibly useful and powerful tools of communication facilitate both contact with loved ones in faraway places and global trade.
Moreover, the Internet has placed the entire world (and all of the information in it) at our fingertips. In earlier times, conducting research entailed long hours searching library shelves. Now, however, the same information can be accessed at the click of a button. Admittedly, not all of the information available on the Internet is reliable or helpful-there is a vast amount of material online that some would consider offensive or dangerous, ranging from pornography to instructions on how to make bombs. Nonetheless, I would contend that this free flow of information has generally been a very positive development.
By way of conclusion, I once again reaffirm my position that the Internet has had a positive impact on modern life because of its influences on communication and the flow of information.
Nowadays, many people spend a lot of time surfing the virtual world, claiming that the Internet can open up a rich and colorful world for them. For example, netsurfers in different countries can share interesting knowledge and the latest information. Besides, Internet has provided a major opportunity to buy and sell merchandises. What is more, people may get medical help or even vote on Internet.
Behind all this glowing talk, however, are some problems. Internet makes people passive by stopping them making their own entertainment. So much so that when there is a breakdown or jam, people may find that World Wide Web turns into World Wide Wait. What is worse, some children have access to the scenes of violence and sex. Apart from these, it can be affected by viruses and hackers.
In my opinion, we should not only handle its problems but also exploit its potential as well. With proper management of Internet people ought to experience more fruits of the information revolution. All the wisdom of the ages, all the information that has enlightened mankind for centuries, should be available to us with the healthy development of Internet.
Mobile phones are the main invention of modern technology. If we look at our society, we can see that all kinds of people are using mobile phones. Maybe they have many advantages, but they also experience drawbacks.
The main advantage of mobile phones is that people can use them anytime and anywhere, so they can use it for an emergency. In addition, people can access the internet whenever they use the mobile phones, so business people can use them at work to get information from the internet more conveniently. Moreover, it is very easy to send messages to your friends. Mobile phones can make people keep intimacy in spite of long distance. Mobile phones are turning the world into a small village where we can communicate with each other easily and simply. Finally, another point in favour of mobile phones is that you can avoid disturbing anyone when he is sleeping or working because in that case people often turn off their mobile phones.
On the other hand, there are some drawbacks, too. Firstly, the most important disadvantage is the unknown effects on health in case of over-use. Scientists found that mobile phones can cause brain cancer. If you talk for so many hours, you are going to have headache and ear problems. Secondly, the mobile phone stimulates home for the high cost of communication. If you are in 3-membered family, you would spend a lot of money on mobile phone. Furthermore, the inappropriate use of mobile phones could be bothersome. For example, it is very inappropriate to hear a mobile phone ringing during a formal conversation, during a lesson, in a library or in a cinema. Finally, mobile phones waste people too much time. An American survey shows that teenagers spend an average of 2 hours sending messages every day.
In conclusion, there are some benefits and drawbacks to mobile phones. Personally, I don’t like mobile phones very much, but I need to use them. In my opinion, mobile phones are good only if you use them correctly and politely, as in this case, all technology is beneficial.
The past few decades has witnessed a rapid technological development, which offers huge benefits to our life. Mobile phone is a case in point. It has become a part of people’s life, providing people with more convenient means of communication. However, the conveniences of mobile phones are not limited to communication. The prevalence of smart phones has made other uses possible, including entertainment, office work and studies.
I am in favor of mobile phones as suitable tools to learn English or other subjects. For example, if we want to sharpen our reading skills, materials of various types are out there on the Internet. Mobile phones are the handy tools download and practice them.
We may safely draw the conclusion from the above discussion, that mobile phones are useful in learning English or any other subject. With their functions getting smatter, I believe, mobile ph, ones will become even more useful and will make studies a more enjoyable experience.
In the last few years, there has been a craze of Wechat, a kind of online communicating tool. An increasing number of people are using. Wechat nowadays, chatting, posting and passing messages and articles online. Reagarding this phenomenon, opinions vary from person to person.
I an in favor of the use of Wechat, taking the following factors into account. In the first place. Wechat provides us with an opportunity to communicate more freely and conveniently. And we can express our opinions to much larger audience in the group or visited by our friends in the “Friends Community”. Moreover, Wehcat offers people a chance to practice organizing their thoughts and language, which also helps sharpen their writing skills.
We may safely draw the conclusion from the above discussion that Wechat is a useful communicating tool as well as medium, by which people can communicate their ideas and share information. So, Wechat will play a significant role in our life.

Car in Cities
Nowadays, people' s living standard has been improved greatly. Consequently, more and more people in big cities have their own cars, and there are still more people who are going to buy cars soon.
There are some advantages to have a car in big cities. Firstly, a car makes one arrange his transportation more freely. You can go out whenever you like. In addition, a car makes it easier and more comfortable for traveling. With a car, you do not need to wait for the bus in the icy cold in winter or under the burning sun in summer.
In spite of all these advantages, too many cars in big cities will cause some problems. First-ly, there may be more traffic jams since there are more and more cars. Secondly, more cars will lead to serious air pollution. Besides, parking will be a big problem since parking spaces in large cities are limited. All in all, if conditions permit, owning a car in big cities can make our work more efficient, and our life will become more pleasant as well. If we want to promote the use of cars, there is still a long way to go.
Nowadays, with the improvement of our living standards, there emerges a more diversity of transportation tools in modern cities, such as private cars, motorcycles and sophisticated mass transit systems. While our life is made easier with these tools, the dramatic increase in vehicles also contributes to severe outcomes.
First of all, pollution is becoming increasingly serious in cities. Vehicles, in particular private cars, emit plenty of waste gas, which makes air dirty. Meanwhile, vehicles also make a lot of noise. Those who live nearby the streets suffer tremendously. Some people even find themselves unable to fall asleep with unbearably loud noise from vehicles.
Secondly, traffic jams are also another problem with the increase of vehicles. Many people complain about traffic congestions during rush hours, say, from 7:30 to 8:30 in the morning or from 5:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon.
Then, how to deal with these problems? I want to propose two solutions. For one thing, people should reduce the use of private cars; instead, they should be encouraged to use public transportation. Thus, air pollution and noise pollution can at least diminish. For another, different companies may have different work time. To be specific, some companies may ask their employees to work from 7:30 to 4:30 while others may require their employees to work from 9:30 to 6:30. In this way, the problem of traffic jams might be lessened.

The Importance of Self-Confidence
No matter what we do, we should have confidence. Without confidence, it is almost impos-sible that one would ever achieve success, especially when he has some drawbacks or is faced with hardships, which seems to be self-evident. However, in real life there are many people who are always complaining that they are not able to do something or that it is too difficult for them to do something. Perhaps some people believe so, but for many others, it only shows that they do not have any confidence in themselves.
Some people are frustrated even though they have the ability to do the things. There are, a-mong others, two main reasons. Firstly, they do not have a clear and correct understanding about themselves. Secondly, they sometimes just overestimate their difficulties which are in fact not that difficult.
To build up confidence in oneself, one should have the right attitude towards his own abili-ties. We should never underestimate our abilities and overestimate the difficulties, but should be-lieve in ourselves. Just as the proverb goes, "Where there is a will, there is a way. " Only with self-confidence can we achieve success.
Most Chinese students have difficulties in learning English. The difficulties vary so much from person to person that it is difficult to cite here in a few words. Some may have problems in reading. Others may have trouble in writing. I also had problems in English learning, but my difficulty seemed to lie in listening. For example, when tested for listening comprehension, I couldn't understand a single sentence, let alone a passage of medium level.
In order to overcome the difficulty in my English learning, I made great efforts to find the key to the problem. I consulted my teacher and found out that I merely didn't have enough time to practice listening. So I bought a tape recorder and listened to it at least two hours a day. In addition, I listened to "Special English" on VOA. I also went out of my way to speak to foreigners on the campus whenever we meet so that I could have the chance to listen to the native speakers. After half a year's hard work, I could get 70% of the questions correct in listening comprehension tests.
I owe my success to my English teacher. It is him who tells me the correct way to learn English. It is him who always encourages me when I encounter difficulties and feel disappointed.
Online course, as a new teaching method based on computer and Internet, allows teachers to give classes from a distance away. It is becoming more than popular in colleges and universities, and acts as an effective complement to traditional teaching.
However, opinions on it differ from teachers to students. Generally, teachers support it for two reasons. Firstly, online course can be conducted at home or office and this offers great convenience to teachers. Secondly, online courses releases teachers from repeating the same contents since the video or audio material can be played time again. However, many students have opposite standpoints. In the first place, with online course, they lack face to face communications with teachers and their confusion cannot be solved instantly. In addition, the computer system cannot be guaranteed to work stably all the time. What’s more, they do not have 100 percent confidence in their self-discipline without teachers being around to supervise.
Personally, with the college students growing up, if the traditional teaching method and the modern ones like on-line course can be combined together, more fruitful education is sure to be realized.
Part VI Writing (15 points)写作七----环境问题
There are still many problems of environmental protection in recent years. One of the most serious problems is the serious pollution of air, water and soil. the polluted air does great harm to people’s health. The polluted water causes diseases and death. What is more, vegetation had been greatly reduced with the rapid growth of modern cities.
To protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. Therefore, governments are playing the most important role in the environmental protection today.
In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished.
We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.
Part VI Writing (15 points)写作八----我最……的题材
The person I can never forget is my head teacher, who is a not very tall man in his middle forties. He is reasonable-looking, but he is rather warm-hearted, always ready to help others.
I've graduated from high school for quite a few years, while something back then still lingers in my mind, as though it just occurred yesterday. Around the college entrance exam, students grew edgy with each other due to pressure of the imminent test. Having sensed the seemingly uncontrollable atmosphere, my head teacher, Mr. Li, assigned each student to list everything nice about the others. All handed in their paper. And on the following Monday, each student received a list with all his strong points gathered by our teacher. In a minute, the entire class was filled with whispering, "Wow, I didn't know that means anything to others!" or "They do like me!” Later on, everything became normal, even much better. Each of us has cherished it as a most valuable treasure.
Now Mr. Li is still working in high school, imparting his knowledge and important lessons in life to new generations. I keep close contact with him and inform him about my current situation.
My Favorite Sport
Just as lots of teenagers take to pop music, I love basketball. It is my favorite sports. It’s part of my life. I began to play basketball in my childhood. I still remember the good old days when I played with my classmates after school. Later on, as I grew up, almost everything changed, but this sport-playing basketball remained and my love of it grew even stronger.
I love this sport because it brings joys and health to my life. When I got tired from office work, I went to the sports ground and felt refreshed. If there were worries and cares from daily life, I went to the sports ground. There everything went away except basketball. It is basketball that keeps me in good shape and mood.
My favorite TV program is "The World Today", which is shown on Saturday evenings.
This program is like a wonderful window, through which I can see the beautiful and exciting world. It provides me with the latest development in affairs of the world. It also gives me a vivid picture of what have been going on and what have happened in the world. From the Gulf War to the civil war in Yugoslavia, from the peace talks in the Middle East to the military maneuvers in America, you nearly can be an expert in international affairs with the information offered in this program.
I like this program not only because of its abundant and latest news, but also its analysis of our present world and prospects for the future. From it, I learn more about mankind itself. It gives me intelligence.
Hobbies are very important for our life. It is another style of living, which will make our life interesting and colorful. It is also a good idea for the people who are tired in hard work. Now I will give you some advice before you choose a kind of hobbies. First, choose the advisable ones. It is not good for an old to join drastic sports. Second, you should think about the cost of hobbies. There are many kinds of hobbies. Running, playing football and swimming belong to sport. Playing the piano, dancing and singing belong to art.
Part VI Writing (15 points)写作九----出国留学
Nowadays many Chinese students are interested in studying abroad. They spend much more time, energy and money on the preparation for studying abroad than on their own majors in college. And some of them even begin to prepare for GRE and TOFEL at the beginning of their college life.
Why are they so over-enthusiastic about studying abroad? One of the reasons may be that they prefer a different style of life, which can open a new world to them and help enrich their experiences. Moreover, he or she will become a multi-cultural person. Secondly, they can improve their foreign language quickly, and thus they are likely to get a good job. Lastly, better laboratory equipment and large amounts of information may be another attraction for many students.
However, as everything has two sides, there are also some problems in attending a foreign university such as language barrier, lack of knowledge of the local culture, etc. Therefore, misunderstandings often arise, in addition, the cost of living is so high that the students have to find part-time jobs in order to help support themselves. This may cause them not to pay full attention to their studies and fail in their courses and learn little.
As for me, I would like to study abroad in the future. But the cost is too high for me to afford, so I will work for several years in China after graduation, Then I think I will be better prepared not only in finance but also in experiences, so that I may catch an opportunity to study abroad.
Part VI Writing (15 points)写作十----教育问题
Currently, many educators and experts cast their doubt over today’s education, claiming that there exist several major problems. One of the main problems with today’s education is that too much emphasis is placed on test scores. It has become the most important criterion for college enrollment. A student, however creative and intelligent, will not be admitted into a college or succeed in employment competitions if his/her test scores are not high enough. Another crucial problem with education is that students’ creativity is killed. Students find themselves concentrating more on strategies to achieve high scores than on acquiring knowledge. Therefore, their innovation has gradually drained away.
The contributing factor for these problems is schools’ orientation and parents’ requirement. On one hand, many high schools want to improve their reputation. If students perform wonderfully in the National College Entrance Examination, they will build up their fame, thus attracting more students to enroll in their school. On the other hand, parents urge schools to focus their attention on improving students’ test scores, asserting that these can be one of the cornerstones of their children’s future success.
In my opinion, it is high time that measures were taken to solve these problems. One of the solutions is to adjust the criteria of enrollment and people’s perspectives. Anyway, test scores are not the determining factor of one’s success. What counts most is ability. If you gain fair mastery of skills, chances are that you can gain huge success.
Most of the Chinese people think that a family with one child is better than those with more children. For one thing, many people will try their best to achieve career success and have little time to care about their children; for another, if they only raise one child they can afford better education for the child.
But there are also some negative views about the one-child family. They think it is better to have a big family. Everyone in the family can help each other when they have difficulties. What is more, the more children they have, the better life they will live when they grow old.
In my opinion, it's better for a family to have one child. Nowadays population expansion is one of the most serious problems in the world. Overpopulation contributes to a series of problems: shortage of natural resources and food supply, crowded cities and the high rate of unemployment. Some day the earth will be too crowded for people to live in.
Part VI Writing (15 points)写作十一----旅游方面
Many people have started go abroad for their holidays so that they can be more adventurous and visit more unusual places.
There are several advantages to going abroad. First of all, you can choose a country where you can be more certain of good weather, and you can follow particular interests and hobbies, which may not be possible in your own country, such as scuba diving or wildlife holidays. In addition to this, you can learn about foreign language skills.
However, going abroad has some disadvantages. Although you can choose a country with better weather than your own, you may come into contact with unusual illnesses that your body is not used to. While you can follow particular interests and hobbies, you may not be able to speak the language of the people you meet who share your interests. What is more, even though you can learn about foreign cultures, you may find it difficult to adapt to these cultures; for example, attitudes to women may be different and difficult to accept.
In conclusion, personally, despite the disadvantages I prefer taking holidays abroad because I have an opportunity to learn more about the world.
The Country I Would Like to Visit
If I am given a chance to choose a country to visit，I prefer the United States of America for the following reasons．
First of all，the US is one of the most modem and developed industrialized country in the West，which，similar to China，has a brilliant page in the great revolution．In spite of the successive damaging wars，it still caught up with France and Britain even exceeded them. There must be some spirit worth learning by US behind such rapid development．In addition，it is said the US is a country on the wheel，suggesting this is a highly active society full of movement and change，so people always seem to be on the go．This is right to the point to attract me to have a look at them．Those world．known sceneries，such as the Statue of Liberty，are also appealing to me．
Although the Sino—US relation is open to debate，Americans usually consider themselves a friendly people．The tourists from all over the world，including me，are attracted to visit the country..
Part VI Writing (15 points)写作十二----就业、创业
Nowadays it seems increasingly tough for college students to find a satisfactory job, since millions of college graduates pour into the tight job market every year. As a result, many of them have to do with jobs irrelevant to their specialties.
As a college student, we should have a clear mind about the economic situation and the difficulty in getting employed. Therefore, as far as I am concerned, I am going to continue my postgraduate in school. That’s what the old Chinese saying goes: sharpen the edge of your axe before chopping down the tree.
In the new century, with the emergence of talent and less opportunity of social jobs, many college students face great employment pressure. At the same time, someone choose to do pioneering work, and some succeeded, some failed. To find a stable job or to start a business has become a hot topic.
First of all, a stable job let the freshmen learn experience from predecessor faster. Lacking of the contacts and fund would be one important reason for most Chinese college students to find a stable job. At present, not only in China but all around the world are facing great employment pressure , the news of Wall Street's bankruptcy, the U.S. government closed makes people understand clearly that to find a job is not easy right now.
Secondly, to start a business let the entrepreneurs handle their times freely and win respect from others. Graduates can be their own boss and decide their business. In recent years, governments have introduced policies to encourage graduates to do pioneering work. Therefore, it is a good opportunity to try. When the business success, entrepreneurs would not only win money but respect and prestige, even make their dreams come true.
For me, I think whether one suit open a company should according to his reality situation .because it exists big risk and not everyone can withstand failure.
对我而言 ，我觉得创业要根据个人的实际情况来决定，因为创业风险很大， 不是每个人都能承受创业的失败。
If possible, I would like to work in an office that comes with many pieces of modern equipment. At my desk, I can breathe the fresh air in the morning and enjoy the warm sunlight through the window in winter. Meanwhile, there is no factory around that produces noise and pollution. During the break, I can step down the stairs and take a walk in the garden surrounding the office building. Of course, I would like to walk with my friendly colleagues, those whom I can turn to when facing difficulties at work.
Needless to say, working in an ideal work environment will benefit us a lot both physically and mentally. Only if we work in an environment as comfortable as possible can we enjoy a nice career.
The most important quality for a person to be successful in the World Today I think the most important quality for a person to be successful in the world today is being tolerant. Here I do not define success economically. I define success socially. To succeed in the future, we will need to be tolerant of different background, opinions, and lifestyles.
Our modern society has become increasingly open. People from different cities, provinces or even different countries come to work in one workplace. So we must learn to live and work with these people and to be tolerant of the cultures, beliefs and lifestyles which are different from ours if we want to live and work with them peacefully.
In the present world, many a war was waged just because of different opinions or beliefs. We should not do things like that. We should not stop speaking to people or start a quarrel just because we have different opinions and beliefs. We must learn to be tolerant of one another and respect different opinions. We should find a common ground --an idea we can both agree on. Once we have agreed on one subject, it will be easier for us to settle differences in other subjects. Learning to be tolerant is very important for everyone if he or she wants to be successful socially in our modern world.

Pressure seems to be a natural part in our daily life in this competitive society. Like it or not there is always pressure of one kind or another. And it seems there is hardly any way to avoid it or get rid of it. Moreover, as the pace of modern life continues to quicken, pressure seems to be on the increase all the time.
Different people have different ideas about pressure. Some hold that pressure is something very vicious. If there is too much of it, it will lead to the decline of one's physical and mental health. So they are always complaining about it or trying to flee from it. They think, only relaxation, the opposite of pressure, is what we should desire. Others, on the other hand, argue that pressure is not as bad as is often thought. In fact a certain amount of pressure is essential to provide motivation and meaning to our life. It is pressure that propels our progress and contributes to our success.
When stress or pressure does occur, it's important to recognize and deal with it. There are some methods we can try. A large number of physical activities can reduce anxiety. Sharing our stress with others can be enormously helpful. Making time for fun such as listening to music may be good medicine. Sometimes even crying is an efficient way to release pressure.
Some people may prefer to have a lower-paying job as long as the job asks for short working hours so that they can have more free time with their friends and family. However, others prefer a high-paying job with longer hours so that they can achieve a sense of accomplishment, though little time will be spent with their friends and family.
As for me, I would choose a lower-paying job with shorter hours for the following reasons. First, man is born free but he is in chains. He has various duties to perform. He must earn the bread for his family. But in doing so, he shouldn’t devote most of his time to his work so that he has little time stored for his family and friends. There are times when he should give some time for his family to strengthen family ties and enhance personal relationships.
Secondly, though money is essential, it is not the only thing we should run after. If a friend is in need, we should be available for help. If a relative is ill, we should set aside some time to see him. And above all, if our family needs us, we should put aside our work and be there. We cannot escape from our duties by just saying that we are too busy with our work. We should keep our priorities in order.
Finally, happiness is the most important thing in my eyes. When I spend my time with my family or friends, I feel very happy. Even though I don’t earn a lot of money, it is still worthwhile.
Taking into account all these aspects, I want to choose a lower-paying job with shorter working hours.
Currently, college students are confronted with an increasing amount of academic pressure. Most of their time is dedicated to their preparation for final exams, thus depriving them of opportunities to not only do something that they are interested in and adept at but also explore their innovativeness.
I think college students should be encouraged to relax and have more free time. It is good for students to acquire their knowledge. Firstly, students can relax and refresh their minds. When students relax, most of them will forget their worries and pressure from studying. Furthermore, they can do other things that can improve students’ skills. For instance, reading can improve their understanding skills and some other related skills. It is clear to see that they can improve their analytical thinking in many various ways! Finally, many students love doing sports when they have spare time. Doing sports is an extraordinary good method to relax and improve skills. Most of students are weak because of lacking of doing sports. Students will be stronger so that students will have a good mood in studying.
In a word, it is apparent that more free time for college students helps them to attain self-development.

People today become increasingly concerned about health, a state of physical and mental well-being. For human beings, to be healthy means to be free from physical illness and mental or psychological problems.
To say healthy, it’s of great importance to develop good lifestyles and behaviors, and to cultivate positive mentalities as well as individual abilities. Studies have shown that people can improve their physical health via regular exercise, adequate sleep, balanced diet, and absence of alcohol, smoke, and drugs. Also, people can keep mentally healthy if they have a positive mentality of optimism, confidence, resolution, broad vision and so forth. This kind of mentality will contribute quite a lot to their ability to cope with stresses and problems, overcome difficulties and obstacles and meet challenges, which , in turn, ensure a fruitful and happy life. This mentality will also result in strong character and personal satisfaction.
To me, health means equal significance. I have made great efforts to try to stay health. Often, I do regular exercises to help strengthen my body and character. Also, I have tried to build healthy self-esteem and confidence, which helps me to see all my abilities and weaknesses together, accept them, and do my best with them. Finally, I always try to be optimistic to help me deal with all the frustrations and stresses in my life. With all this, I am confident to maintain both physical and mental health.
